The Nook Ebook Reader Review

Written By:  on March 5, 2010 No Comment

The Nook, that is sold for $ 259, offers a number of similar features such as the Kindle 2, a huge collection of titles along with a wireless downloads. Moreover, it forces the to e-style, with a color, touch-sensitive screen for the navigation and the need now wireless downloads via AT & T's 3G Internet, or Wi-Fi.

The 11th 2 - ounces Nook (7. 7 x 4. 9 x 5 inch) has 2 GB of internal RAM, enough for about 1, 500 titles. In addition, it has a MicroSD slotability, will give important impulses. A 16 - gigabyte card for another 17, 500 to keep e-books. The unit runs a version of the Android operating system, but currently does not support 3rd party apps. Perhaps most strikingly, supports Nook many different e-book formats, such Fictionwise, PDF and ePub.

The display is the 16 - Grayscale found E-Ink display with the Kindle 2, but I was not able to much more hands-on time with it. In any case, only a few e-readers separateeven by means of the display. How can the Nook is fascinating, is the library of the case. For example, such as Sony, " and the forthcoming latest iREX s, employs ePub the device, the open e-book format, which you can move tracks between units.

Obviously, this company is a bet on ePub as the format of the future. "Our customers want a book, any time, any place," said William Lynch, president of Barnes & Noble. "In addition, the ePubmost portable format. "The Kindle, needless to say, does not support ePub.

Nook buyer may also be able to loan books to other customers of the bookstore Barnes & Noble, whether it is a nook, iPhone, BlackBerry, or just read books on their own computer. The credits last for about 2 weeks. "Friends are able to do what they've always done, which is to give you another pound," said Lynch.

Perhaps the biggest margin of the Nook in the e- market, which is into support the business. With over 700 retailers, 40, 000 retail consultant and a Web site that among the top 20 on the Internet may be, is this company in an excellent position to reach readers. Take a nook in a Barnes & Noble, and you can access customized content over Wi-Fi. You also get access to the full text of every book in the eBook Store of the company have - if only while you are in the shop.

"The bookstore is the most important place for the demand generation," says Lynch. "Whenthe world's largest bookstore, there is a tremendous advantage. "Customers will not actually download the books, but they have a current technology that Lynch would not talk.

Barnes & Noble also stylish Nook Ebook from creative designers like Kate Spade, Jack Spade and Jonathan Adler issued. The company is accepting pre-orders for the next shipment of the device at angles. com. The recent holiday season, their stock until exhausted.

This is a big step forBarnes & Noble, but mentioned as Chief Executive Officer Steve Riggio, the company has been in this room forever. "We were the first to sell eBooks." Said Riggio. "We were the 1st to sell an eBook , with the RockBook ."

This action was obviously underwhelmed. Now the company will take the trouble to return to the Nook.

My name is Rick Blackmon and I am an avid , reading 3 to 5 pounds per week. I think the portable eBook is aProduct whose time has come. The eBook is a good opportunity to drive the entire book collection with on vacations, business trips and other trips. One battery charge lasts for 3 or 4 days.

I look forward to exploiting the huge Barnes and Noble Collection with my new portable e-book

I bought this TV to use in my teardrop trailer so I can watch DVDs on rainy evenings when camping.
I hooked it up to my DVD player and put in a movie. Found out that a widescreen movie on this widescreen TV on Normal Mode (there are 4 modes: Normal, 16:9 Widescreen, 4:3, and Cinema) DOES NOT...  Read more reviews

Sony has long been one of the better TV makers, going back to the Trinitron and later the WEGA. The Bravia series has remained high quality machines, boasting great pictures, not to mention some of the lowest repair rates in the industry. The 40EX400 lives up to that billing, sporting a terrific p...  Read more reviews
